What this website is, and how our guarantee works. The terms of any particular job are the ones on your signed agreement.
About this website
The pest library and the service area pages are general guidance about pests in the Lower Mainland. They do not replace an on-site inspection, and identification and treatment decisions should be made by a licensed technician looking at your property.
Quotes and pricing
Inspections carry no obligation. Prices are quoted in writing after inspection and hold for 30 days. Nothing on this website is a binding quote. The written quote is.
Our guarantee
If a pest we treated returns within 3 months of the completed treatment, we return and re-treat at no charge. The guarantee covers the specific pest and the areas named on your quote and report. It does not cover a new infestation of a different pest, re-introduction from an untreated adjoining unit, or a case where the exclusion, sanitation or moisture repairs written on your report were not carried out.
Access and preparation
We need safe access to the areas being treated, including crawlspaces, attics and under-sink cabinets. Cockroach, bed bug and flea treatments require the written preparation we send in advance. Where a property has not been prepared we may need to reschedule, and a call-out charge can apply.
Payment
We accept Cash, e-Transfer, Cheque, Visa, Mastercard, Amex. Invoices are due on receipt unless your agreement says otherwise. Returned cheques and NSF payments carry a $45 financial institution charge. GST applies, and our registration number is printed on your invoice.
Licensing and regulation
Newton Pest Control holds a British Columbia pest control operator licence and our applicators hold provincial Pesticide Applicator Certificates. Copies of both are available on request. All pesticide use is carried out and recorded under the British Columbia Integrated Pest Management Act and its regulations. Wildlife work follows the BC Wildlife Act, including the protections that apply to bats.
